  World Battle of the Bands is a dynamic, growing band contest that has successfully grown around Asia Pacific. Focusing exclusively on unsigned bands, all acts must write and perform their own material. Local heats build up to a National Final. The winner of the Final competes against other country winners in a World Final. World Battle of the Bands (WBOB) is the only international band contest to successfully operate in Asia Pacific and grow its presence year on year. 1990 New Zealand 2004 Australia, Hong Kong, USA, New Zealand 2005 Singapore, The Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, USA, New Zealand 2006 China, Taiwan, Singapore, The Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, USA, New Zealand 2007 China, Taiwan, Singapore, The Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, USA, New Zealand and more to be announced soon.  Each of the competing countries, throughout various venues, will host heats, semi-finals and regional finals to determine the competitors for each National Final. The winning band from each country will be flown to the world final (destination to be announced soon)where they will compete in the WORLD BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2007 WORLD FINAL. |
